New Issue of Building Up
May 22, 2019
We hope you enjoy our newest issue of Building Up, Westland Construction's newsletter. You can click here to read it on our website.
The theme of this issue is philanthropy and we're proud to share how Westland is contributing to and working on projects that are making an impact in our community and city. In our Project Profile we feature our involvement with Morberg House and Riverwood House - housing initiatives that are providing support and safe housing for Winnipeg's at-risk population.
As a company, our contributions go beyond labour, materials and construction management services. Westland is also a proud supporter of numerous charitable organizations, many of which are listed in our Did You Know section, including the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. I had the opportunity to sit on the Alzheimer Society's Gala Committee for the last five years and I know how vital the Society's support services are to families who are dealing with dementia. Read about our connection to this reputable aid agency in our Industry Insights section.
And after eight years of publishing this newsletter, you'll get a chance to learn a little more about me in the Westland Personality section. This year marks 30 years that I've worked with Westland and 40 years of business success for the company. I started as a labourer back in 1989 and worked in every position in the company since. Now as president, I'm proud of how far we've come - the team we've developed, the projects we've constructed and the difference we've made.
Thank you for spending some time with our newsletter. We hope you enjoy it and we welcome your feedback, questions and ideas for upcoming issues.
On behalf of the staff of Westland Construction, I would like to wish you a safe and prosperous construction season!
